TOOLS FOR LETTING GO OF YOUR NEGATIVE EMOTIONS

I personally believe that anything is possible, and you can create the life you desire. In order to have that life you must release your negative emotions first.

Colin Powell, once said, “None of us can change yesterdays but all of us can change our tomorrows.” In other words, you must complete the past in order for you to embrace the future. Some people go through life as if they have a huge anchor behind them weighing them down. If only they would release that anchor, they’d be able to move on faster & succeed more easily. Releasing these anchors can often be the final step you need to complete your past & embrace your future.

One of the best exercises I have found that works great to clear negative emotions is an exercise called writing total truth letters.

Here is how the process works….

Write a letter to the person who has affected you in a negative way. Perhaps they have upset you, frustrated you, or hurt you. In this letter express all your feelings. Be completely honest in this letter. Get all your anger out. You can even use those words your mother told you were very bad to use. Don’t worry about being honest and hurting anyone’s feelings because this letter is only going to be seen by you. You are not going to share this letter with anyone. After you write it you are not going to reread it. This is simply a way of getting your emotions out and letting them go. You are completely safe at what you say. After you have said it all then sign the letter, tear it to pieces, or you can burn it. You will find this exercise very healing. It has worked for me! After I learned my first husband had a girl friend for 14 of 16 years of our marriage, and was abusive to me and my children… I held a lot of anger and hurt within. I wrote this man a total of 39 total truth letters to get all my negativity out.

The way this process works is you may have one or more letters to write depending on emotions and how deep they are. You may find you write one letter and feel good, and then in a week or two, you feel you need to write another. This process works like peeling an onion. Layers come up, write a letter, peel them away, and then more may come so just keep writing until you feel it is all out. When you write letters like this you can feel your body actually feeling lighter and more at peace and this helps you to be more in the present moment. Take note you that you can even do this exercise with someone who has crossed over to the other side. This process is great for closure!

When I am working with coaching clients I take them through the Sedona Method. That is another great way to help someone release negative emotions. The more negative thoughts you let go, the easier it is to be in the present moment. Therefore helping you become more aware of opportunities and doors opening for you.

Another great tool for letting go is by using a Labyrinth Board made by Labyrinth Solutions. I have had some very strong clearings by using this board. To learn more about this board and to purchase one for yourself please visit http://amazeyourmindlabyrinths.com/white-labyrinth-board

And finally make sure you purchase the mp3 of "Living In The Present Moment". There you will learn more tools and techniques for letting go of your negative emotions. For more details and to purchase please visit http://www.asksuelondon.com/training.html
